• Korvai is an ancient handloom weaving technique that’s exclusive to Kanchipuram silk sarees.. Korvai involves the laborious creation of beautiful contrast borders – silk. It perfectly describes the unique method that is used to weave Korvai silk sarees.

• The Tamil word ‘Korvai’ means ‘In Sync’. As simple as it sounds, this ancient method is the true symbol of the Kanjivaram silk saree and Yes, at Singhania’s we are very proud of our Korvai collection. In weaving a Korvai saree the weaver is manually attaching the body part of the saree with the borders.
